Uhrturm Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the Local Organizing Committee I am delighted to welcome you to the 43rd ICBL to be held in the city of Graz, Austria. It is the intention of the organizers that the conference should provide ample opportunities for exchange of the latest news in the bioscience of lipids, including biochemical, biophysical, molecular biological and cell biological aspects. Moreover, we hope that the conference will stimulate discussion between research groups interested in related subjects and encourage students to get in contact with established scientists. Hopefully the conference will be an excellent opportunity for renewing old friendships and establishing new ones.

Scientific Program

The scientific program includes the traditional L. L. M. van Deenen Lecture, lectures by invited speakers and oral communications selected from submitted abstracts.The program will include sessions on the following topics:
  1. Lipids of microorganisms
  2. Lipid transport and assembly of lipids into membranes
  3. Cell biology and molecular biology of lipases and phospholipases
  4. Pathobiochemistry of lipids
